International Studies

We at Freed-Hardeman University are committed to broadening the horizons of our students through travel and study abroad. Students come to a better understanding of their own culture through studying and experiencing other cultures as they travel and live in them.

Freed-Hardeman offers two semester-long programs: one in Belgium and one in Italy. Both of these programs are characterized by the following:

  • Students are accompanied and taught by FHU faculty.
  • Both programs are open to all majors.
  • Both programs are open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.
  • Students attend daily chapel.
  • A required Bible class is offered.
  • A foreign language class is offered.
  • Students and faculty work and worship with a local congregation.
  • Meals are included in the program-except for independent travel.
  • Laundry service is provided on site.
