Lady Lions Finish 2008 Basketball Camp

HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lion basketball program recently concluded its basketball camp, with 132 campers from six states coming to Henderson to take part in the five-day camp.

The camp included a high school all-star game and a counselor’s game on Wednesday night.

Best Camper and Miss Hustle Awards were given to one camper in each of the three divisions. The awards were voted on by the coaches in each division, and take into consideration factors such as ability, work ethic, and attitude.

Best Camper: Lauren Jones (5th-7th grades); Catherine Taylor (8th grade); Laken Tabor (9th-12th grades)

Miss Hustle: Kelsey Jackson (5th-7th grades); Makayla Holley (8th grade); Chelsea Bodiford (9th-12th grades)

First and second place awards were also given for a series of competitions in each division.

Obstacle Course: Bree Linton (1st place, 5th-7th grades); Abbey Spann (2nd place, 5th-7th grades); McKenzie Denton (1st place, 8th grade); Haley Blankenship (2nd place, 8th grade); Cynthia Woodward (1st place, 9th-12th grades); Lacey Hayes (2nd place, 9th-12th grades)

Lay-Ups: Megan Pulliam (1st place, 5th-7th grades); Haley Harris (2nd place, 5th-7th grades); Catherine Taylor (1st place, 8th grade); Ally McDow (2nd place, 8th grade); Katie Van Dyke (1st place, 9th-12th grades); Cynthia Woodward (2nd place, 9th-12th grades)
