Allows searches by location, travel, and skills. It also provides company profiles and job postings by company. 
HotJobs
Caters to Fortune 500, Global 2000, and other high profile companies. One may search for jobs using keywords, locations, job type, or companies. 
TrueCareers
Helps in the search for an entry level job or an internship TrueCareers will e-mail you when a new job posting matches your resume, or employers can e-mail you if your resume catches their eye. TrueCareers is entirely free for students. Drawbacks, however, are that: 1) you cannot search the entire database of job openings; 2) the job openings lean heavily toward computing and technology positions. 
JobHunt
Provides online job listings by category and offers other job resources. JobHunt also has numerous links to other sites. Some sites are recognized as new or outstanding, and a description is supplied for each one.

Provides a place to search jobs, store resumes, research companies, read career resource articles, and contains general resources. 
Net Temps
Database of permanent and temporary positions. You search the database by determining preferred job type and location 
Recruiter's Online Network
Virtual employment association with over 1,500 members. One can search the job banks, post a resume, or consult the career center for career advice.

Site created by the California public library system. Click on Salary Info to link to more than 300 salary surveys, some general and some industry-specific. Also includes tips on negotiation.
Occupational Outlook Handbook
Production of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Provides information on earnings as well as nature of work, working conditions, employment statistics, training, advancement, job outlook, and related occupations.
Vault Reports
Go to Career Topics, then Salaries & Compensation. Type in your profession and zip code and receive data on median wage as well as a brief summery of the occupation.

Access America for Students
Government-wide web portal for any kind of federal service or information, a "one-stop-shop" for access to information about financial aid, career development, education planning, consumer protection, and a wide variety of other topics.
Federal Job Openings
Most of the federal job openings require military background; however, there are some positions for nonmilitary personnel and occasionally there are entry level opportunities that are specifically open to college graduates. This web site would be more beneficial to the professional who has a few years of experience. When you first enter the web site, choose Current Jobs. Next look under Entry level Professional, if you want to search a job category, or Alphabetical Listing, if you know the name of the position that interests you.
