I am happy that you are considering attending FHU or that you already attend FHU. I am in my 15th year at FHU, with the last 8 and 1/2 years as the Director of Financial Aid. What a fun job! I get to meet with prospective students, current students, parents, and other relatives just like yourself. I graduated from Lipscomb University in 1975, moved to Henderson in 1978, and worked in banking and insurance for 14 years before coming to work here in June 1992.
I am married to the former Becky Gardner and we have two grown children, Beth and Adam. Becky also works at FHU in the pre-school program. I am a deacon at the Henderson Church of Christ. My hobbies include carpentry work and E-Bay. (E-Bay can be expensive, you know)
I am more than happy to talk with you about financial aid (carpentry, too). My roles vary from day to day it seems, but I am responsible for awarding all the non-academic and non-departmental scholarships, awarding all the federal and state aid to students, and overseeing all the functions and processes of the Office of Financial Aid.
