The next MSYC Board of Directors meeting will be in Wallace Gano Cafeteria on March 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Please R.S.V.P. The last MSYC Board of Directors meeting was at Wallace Gano Cafeteria on the evening of October 14, 2008.
The annual MSYC BBQ Dinner will be held during the FHU Bible Lectureships on February 2, 2009 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Bader Gym Lobby. The costs are $7 per meal for adults/children 12 years of age or above and $3.50 per meal for children under 12, or $3.50 per sandwich.

We extend our sympathy to John Dodd and his family on the death of his mother, Mrs. Ruby Dodd, a long-time supporter of MSYC.

The Lion Adventure ropes course is complete and consists of ten elements located just south of the camp ground and 3 elements just north of the camp ground and boasts of a 35 ft climbing wall, a 50 ft repelling tower and a 250 ft zipline. The climbing wall accommodates 8 climbers and belayers. Cost was about $30,000. Renovation of two bath houses - one girl's and one boy's is complete. Estimated cost is around $15,000 per bath house. Brother Rickey Moore, an elder at Broad Street Church of Christ in Lexington, TN, did the work. The renovation consists of new tile, fixtures, toilets, lighting and sinks. A special account has been set up for donations for this project. Please send all donations to Mid-South Youth Camp - bath house renovations.
Roof replacement has been completed on the Kirk Dining Hall. Ceiling repairs on the interior will follow.
Five new canoes also have been purchased for the lake. Thank you to those who donated to this effort.
Roof replacements have taken place on all of the teaching stations. Thank you to Dyer Church of Christ and Kenneth Bell for this work.
A Feasibility Committee has been formed to study the development of a full-fledged Retreat Center at MSYC.

New Boat Dock (Board Members Jack Seward and Buddy Rinks would welcome donations for this - plans are in the making - those wanting to make donations for the boat dock can be sent to FHU - MSYC Boat Dock Purchase)

Donations or purchase of bunk beds for 11 cabins. ($200 per set of 4 bunk beds.) There are 5 sets per cabin.
