Faith Present a Christian perspective – by recognizing the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God; by presenting Jesus, the Christ, as the model of personal behavior; by viewing each person as a special creation of God, possessing an everlasting soul, with ultimate accountability to God; by promoting respect for individual differences through Christian love and biblical teaching; by promoting the traditional family as the basic unit of society; and by participating in and offering programs and activities that strengthen faith and service to church and community.
Determination Present a free-enterprise perspective – by recognizing that a strong work ethic coupled with honesty provides the most direct path to business success; that the right of private property is the most fundamental and necessary right for a free enterprise system to exist; that a free market maximizes the welfare of society by providing the most efficient allocation of resources, and that businesses that succeed in filling the needs of their customers in an efficient manner will be rewarded with profitability.
Engagement Provide a learning-centered education – by focusing on learning and the real needs of students. Characterized by high expectations and standards set for all students, support and guidance provided to facilitate learning, a constant search for alternative ways to enhance learning, an emphasis on active learning to include external business and industry resources, and a focus on the key transitions from school-to-work and school-to-church and community service.
Learning Pursuit of life-long learning – displayed to students by faculty members’ involvement in scholarly and professional activities that enhance depth and scope of knowledge and of their discipline, as well as the effectiveness of their teaching. Using research findings, innovative practices, practical applications, and technology advancements in the classroom and with the business community served.
Commitment Demonstrate a character- based work ethic – committed to both teaching and being an example for professionalism and accountability, modeling personal integrity by doing what is right, displaying the maturity of simultaneously being courageous and kind, demonstrating an abundance mentality which perceives an ever enlarging opportunity through the success of others. Daily provide an example of delivering on promises, considering others, dealing in a straightforward manner, and responding promptly to requests.
