The camps will be conducted on the campus of Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. Many of the facilities on campus will be utilized throughout the camp. Campers will use the Sports Center which has two gymnasiums and three racquetball courts. The Gano Dining Hall will be where the campers will eat every day with buffet-style, all-you-can-eat meals.

Freed-Hardeman’s soccer complex was opened in the fall of 2001. Daily sessions will take place on the main soccer field as well as on the adjoining practice field. The Bermuda grass field is approximately 114 yards long and 80 yards wide. These facilities, utilized by both the Lions and Lady Lions soccer teams, are quality fields that you will enjoy.

Staff

The camps are directed by fourth year FHU head coach Jason Elliott. Coach Elliott has made a huge mark on the FHU soccer program in a short time. He is joined by the Lion and Lady Lion soccer players to conduct the camp. Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game from the coaching staff and players. We hope to broaden the understanding of each camper’s knowledge of the game and skill level. Camps will cover tactical training, technical excellence, and specialized sessions for Goalkeepers. There will be individual and team competitions during the week with an emphasis on maximizing each individual’s playing time in 11-a-side, 6-a-side, and 3-a-side games and drills.

“Our philosophy is that competition is what makes players better. We create an environment in which players compete to their limits. Emphasis is placed on core values such as intensity, relentlessness, unselfishness, and a tremendous work ethic. In athletics your character is revealed and this camp will help you discover the champion within you.”

Coach Elliott
