Origins of NBS and AERho
The organization was founded on the campus of Stephens College in Missouri. Originally named Alpha Epsilon Rho (AERho) in honor of the Association of Education in Radio (AER), the organization evolved to include students pursuing interests in television, film, cable, corporate media, and interactive technologies. An astounding 45,000 former members have participated in NBS activities over the past 60+ years. Today, thousands of our alumni provide a nationwide network of media professionals.
