Recent Accomplishments


Recent Accomplishments Within the School of Business:

--  Our $1 million student investment team (Clayton Investment Fund) opportunities ranks with some of the best universities in the nation: Penn State has an approximate $2.3 million fund; New York University (NYU) approximately $1.9 million; University of Arkansas approximately $1.37 million; University of Connecticut (UCONN) $1.0 million; UCLA approximately $750 thousand; ACU approximately $275 thousand; and Georgetown with approximately $250 thousand.

--  The Clayton Investment Fund is up 10.1% since we started in December vs. 6.8% for the S&P 500 and 8.8% for the Russell 1000 Value Index (a large-cap value stock index)

--  Our Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) team won first-place at the 2007 SAM International Management Conference Case Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Freed-Hardeman University team claimed first place in its 16-team division. The division included second-place finisher Villanova University and third-place finisher Bentley College. 

--  Since 2004, our School of Business students have consistently exceeded the national mean on standardized business exit exams (ETS Business Achievement Results, Princeton, NJ).
