Freed-Hardeman University strives to provide a safe and effective learning environment for the students, faculty, and staff that are affiliated with our university. In light of recent events such as the tragedy at Virginia Tech, Freed-Hardeman University is striving to provide a campus with better communication abilities in order to keep situations like this from happening on our campus.
To provide this form of mass communication, we have solicited the use of
e2Campus
, a communication company that specializes in campus communications. With this partnership, we now have the ability to communicate with the student body quickly concerning emergency like situations or even bad weather.
Todays fast paced world requires a form of communication that most people carry with them. In a study, e2CampusĀ notes that 90% of college students have cell phones. "Today's reality: if you're not reaching students' cell phones, you're not reaching them." Our goal by this service is to communicate quickly with the student body concerning emergency situations.
We encourage all students to register for this service. This is a free service offered to you by theĀ Freed-Hardeman for your safety. You can register for this service by clicking
here
. The form should take less than a minute to complete.
