The School of Education provides the necessary professional education courses for teacher licensure. Its role and services in the management of teacher education support the institution's commitment to teacher preparation. In June, 1982, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) accredited all major professionale ducation programs offered by Freed-Hardeman University. Reaccreditation was granted by NCATE in March, 2005.
