MBA Admissions Requirements

Regular Admissions
An applicant for the MBA Program must have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. The applicant must submit and application for admission, $32 application fee, official undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and a GMAT exam score.

Using our admissions formula (GPA x 200 + GMAT), an applicant must have either a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or a minimum score of 450 on the GMAT exam and a minimum formula total of 1,050 for regular admission. Students with a total score less than 1,050 can be considered for conditional admission. In addition, no applicant with a GPA below 2.5 or GMAT score below 350 will be admitted into the MBA program.

Applicants with a GMAT score which is older than ten years may be required to retake the exam to be considered for admission into the program. This decision will be made by the director of the MBA program.

Conditional Admission
Students with a score less than 1,050 using the admissions formula can be considered for conditional admission. To be considered, an applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. The applicant must submit and application for admission, $32 application fee, all undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and submit a GMAT exam score. If an applicants GPA is below 2.5, he/she may retake undergraduate courses to raise the cumulative GPA. Once a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above had been achieved, the applicant may be considered for conditional admission into the MBA program.

A student granted conditional admission into the MBA program may register for a maximum of twelve (12) semester credit hours. To continue on through the MBA program after the first twelve (12) credit hours, a conditionally admitted student must achieve a regular admission status. Obtaining a regular admission status meens the student must have a 3.5 or above cumulative GPA after the first twelve (12) credit hours are completed.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
The test of English as a Foreign Languaga (TOEFL) is offered in three formats. A score of at least 500 on the paper-based exam, or a score of at least 173 on the computer-based exam, or a score of at least 61 on the Internet-based exam is required of all students for whom English is a second language.

Special Admission
Special admission into the MBA program may be available for undergraduate senior students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 who are within nine (9) semester credit hours of meeting the requirements for a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants must submit undergraduate transcripts from all institutions attended. The student is not considered a graduate student and may take no more than nine (9) MBA credit hours. MBA courses taken can not be used to meet undergraduate requirements.

Readmission Policy
A former MBA student who plans to re-enroll must submit a new application for readmission. After any period of academic or disciplinary suspension, one must apply to the director of the MBA program for readmission. In addition to the applicaiton, the student should submit a letter stating what plans are being made to ensure academic success. Readmission is not guaranteed or automatic.

Non-Degree Seeking Students
A college graduate not planning to enroll in an MBA degree program may register as a non-degree seeking MBA student. An applicant must submit an application for admission and application fee, have an accredited bachelor's degree, and submit transcripts from all colleges attended.

A non-degree seeking student may enroll for any MBA course which he/she has the necessary prerequisite course work, with the approval of the MBA Director. Certain courses may not be available and the MBA director may restrict enrollment or give preference to degree-seeking students.

Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for federal financial aid.
