Scholarships
It would be nice to think that tuition would cover all the expenses for an excellent college education. But that’s only a fantasy. In reality, tuition covers only about 70 percent of a Freed-Hardeman University education.
That’s right: 70 percent. Where does the rest come from? It comes from scholarship gifts from friends and alumni like you, who want to help make the FHU experience available to more students. By giving to FHU scholarships, you can help make a life-changing education a reality for someone.

Bible Teaching Program
Freed-Hardeman just wouldn’t be Freed-Hardeman without the Bible Teaching Program. It’s the nucleus of the spiritual atmosphere that the university is famous for.
About 250 students strong, the Bible Teaching Program is a training ground for preachers, missionaries and church leaders. But more importantly, it’s a source of strength for college students who will be backbone members for churches throughout the world.
While you can’t put a price tag on education like that, the Bible Teaching Program does require resources. In fact, a single day of Bible teaching at FHU costs $8,000. That’s a cost that is met through the generosity of friends and alumni like you. You or your congregation can support the Bible Teaching Program through a variety of gifts, from a one-time or monthly gift of $25 to an underwriting gift:
• A day of Bible teaching for all FHU students – $8,000
• Two semesters of Bible teaching for one student – $1,200
• One semester of Bible teaching for one student – $600

What’s great is that while supporting scholarships, you can hear one of the nation’s leading personalities. Recent Benefit Dinner speakers include George Herbert Walker Bush, Barbara Bush, Regis Philbin, Sen. Bill Frist and Walter Cronkite. The speaker for 2008 is comic legend Tim Conway! Student Living
Do you remember your first days of college? Your first time away from home? Those first four years out of the nest are vital to students' development. And that development requires a comfortable, safe, homelike environment. This means careful attention to the conditions not only of classrooms but also of residence halls, the student center, the cafeteria ... the list goes on.
However, fostering and maintaining this atmosphere goes beyond a one-time renovation or repair. It involves a continuous process. Equipment must be frequently upgraded and facilities consistently renovated and improved to ensure only the best in living and learning conditions.
Your gifts to Student Living will help provide these conditions. By following the link below, you can help provide the type of campus environment students need to reach their full potential.
