Spiritual, mental and family wellbeing are central to healthy living. And healthy living is key to personal happiness and success. At Freed-Hardeman University, we train students from a variety of academic backgrounds to lend a hand to those in need of personal, group, couples or family counseling. In our Master of Science in Counseling program, we offer an interdisciplinary approach to therapy while rooting the coursework in principles of Christian faith. Counselors trained at FHU are able to focus not only on the emotional and mental concerns of their clients but on overall health, helping couples, families and individuals to live more enriched, meaningful lives.
Our counseling program is designed for you to complete all required studies for the rigorous standards of state licensure boards, managed care companies, healthcare providers and similar organizations. And as an L.P.C. Mental Health Service Provider, we also offer specific courses for national certification and licensing.
