We at Freed-Hardeman University are committed to broadening the horizons of our students through travel and study abroad. Students come to a better understanding of their own culture through studying and experiencing other cultures as they travel and live in them.
Freed-Hardeman offers two semester-long programs: one in Belgium and one in Italy. Both of these programs are characterized by the following:
- Students are accompanied and taught by FHU faculty.
- Both programs are open to all majors.
- Both programs are open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.
- Students attend daily chapel.
- A required Bible class is offered.
- A foreign language class is offered.
- Students and faculty work and worship with a local congregation.
- Meals are included in the program-except for independent travel.
- Laundry service is provided on site.
