Annual Bible Lectureship

FREED-HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY
73rd ANNUAL BIBLE LECTURESHIP
FEBRUARY 1-6, 2009

The ancient hymnal for God's people Israel during the second temple period, the biblical Book of Psalms, is a magnificent compilation of songs of praise and devotion. Major types of psalms, including praise songs, laments, and songs of thanksgiving, speak both to our human condition and to our need to worship our holy, sovereign Lord. Out of our predicaments we cry out to God even as our human spirits long to worship and commune with Him. Join us for Crying out to God: Prayer and Praise in the Psalms as we explore the heights and depths of this marvelous inspired hymnal.

This is a very special week for the Freed-Hardeman family and a time of excitement for all of us. Numerous classes, as well as a host of other activities, are offered through the week. It is the desire of the lectureship committee that all take advantage of as many lectures as possible.
